I wonder what Gustav would have said on seeing his works adorn the sails of Sydney’s opera house.

He would have had to move over as the works were not alone to charm onlookers as Vienna landed on the opera house sails. 

There were other views, too, not just for the eyes, but also for the ears. People nodded in tact, waltzed and swayed to symphony orchestrations of  “On the Beautiful Blue Danube” waltz by J Strauss II.

I may be oceans away Down Under, but art representations still bind me to the city of my birth.
