Airport Jazz
It’s 6 am and I’m leaving for a book launch in Brisbane, flying Virgin Australia.
I only have carry-on less than 7 Kg. Security made me remove my voluminous scarf.
I put it in one of the plastic boxes to be xrayed. When I got to the Gate, I saw I had forgotten to pick up the scarf.
There was no going back. Security Rules.
At the Gate sat a man wearing a cap.
I told him my story. He said he couldn‘t promise anything and dashed off.
Five minutes later he came back with the scarf.
It was the Pilot!
I saw him as I passed the Cockpit. I was wearing the scarf and thanked him again. He said it suited me.

guten flug!
