are sînziana păltineanu with her work "thunder and lightning. records of a passing snowstorm on the first wednesday of the new year" and ida westh-hansen with "boon scrolling". both were successful with two very different digital artworks.

sînziana păltineanu (ger)
shows with her work based on the wiener zeitung how digital forms of representation can contribute to the interactive exploration of texts. in the course of the web residency, sînziana păltineanu was able to realise the concept of a fictional walk through the wiener zeitung.
"boon scrolling"
ida westh-hansen (aut)
combines various materials from the önb archive to create a dynamic collage that assembles itself interactively. the artist's first digital work takes particular account of the materiality of the image fragments.

the artists:
sînziana păltineanu is a berlin-based author working at the intersections of queer feminism, fiction and historiography. she holds a phd in comparative history of central, south-eastern and eastern europe from the central european university.

ida westh-hansen is a danish artist who lives and works in vienna. in 2018, she completed her studies in sculpture at the vienna academy of fine arts. "boon scrolling" is her first digital artwork.
