DO IT YOURSELF
call for entries for the ö1 short radio play competition "track 5'"
own creation, new adaptation or collage – "DIY – do it yourself!"
that's the motto of this year's competition for self-produced short radio plays, held again by ö1 together with the vienna poetry school.
a maximum of two not yet broadcast works with seven minutes each can be handed in. there are no additional specifications concerning content or form.
the deadline to hand in the short radio plays is 31 december 2015. at the beginning of february the finalists, that are chosen by a jury, can be voted for.
First prize is € 1,000,-, second and third prize are € 500,- each. in addition, the jury also gives away the prize of the vienna poetry school with € 1,000,- (the prize money includes compensation for a one-time-broadcast on ö1).
the finalists will be presented on 25 jan. and 1 feb. 2016 at the schauspielhaus wien as part of the series "hörspielhaus". the winners will be honoured at the ö1 radio play gala on 26 feb. 2016 at orf-radiokulturhaus and broadcast during the "hörspiel-studio" on 1 march 2016.
in addition to your audio contribution we ask you for biographical information, naming of the participants of your production and a statement on your diy-work.
