The Stool
I‘m in hospital in Vienna recovering from stoma surgery. My son-in-law is home making lasagne. He and my daughter are over from Sydney helping to empty the house. My husband died five months ago. We sent him off at a gig in in the garden in June. My son-in law is taking his ashes to strew on his favourite places: golf course, beach, down the bush with my parents. I will surely join him. But not yet. I have stuff to do. They ask me if I have had „Stuhl“, if I have done number 2. I laugh and think a stool must be blocking my insides. Oh for a poop!
