"am working in the field of fear"
not stephen king's business plan, but a quote from friederike mayröcker*
is the motto of this year's call for entries.
the vienna poetry school is looking for texts that scare or are made of fear.
texts that not only make "schrecklinge"** ("the terrified") shiver, but even the hardened sfd jurors.
get active in the fear department!
the good news at the end:
only this time, horrific texts are exceptionally welcome.
"fear: who taught me, which idiots taught me to understand fear, the chair holders, the poets. fear is something completely different, fear is in the head, that's where it sits, that's where it sits at all the levers."
