poetry in motion

after the screening at vienna’s top kino now at schubertkino in graz

“vulgar volumes” of neo-liberal financial managament were the starting point of sfd’s web-project “inconceivable number poetry” (http://sfd.at/zahlenpoesie, in german). a selection of the poems that were created has been visualized by students at fh joanneum: abstract, figurative, funny, wicked, just like this disgusting subject deserves.


as part of the film night clips of the following students will be shown: katharina petsche, alexander mattersberger, stefan pausch, lisa schmölzer, werner huber, andrea schwarz und leo priminger. the films are based on the number poems by januszeitstein, robert zikmund, thomasedlinger and bxl which originated during the sfd-project “inconceivable number poetry”.

the students were supported during the creation of their concepts by the animation film makers markus hornoff and patrick sturm (eat my dear), both also teach at fh joanneum.

fh joanneum-course under direction of orhan kipcak (media designer/fh joanneum), lecturer: thomas edlinger (author, curator, radio broadcaster).

nomination of “inconceivable number poetry”

on the occasion of the film nigths 2014, five films were nominated for the “arbeitswelten”-sponsorship prize, awarded by arbeiterkammer salzburg. amongst the nominations is “inconceivable number poetry”, video works by paul baran, josé diaz palomeque, werner huber, justyna krug, florian leitl, alexander mattersberger, stefan pausch, katharina sophia petsche, leo priming, lisa schmölzer, andrea schwarz, isabel zalami.

the 14 video clips are based on number-poems by 9augenmein, AlfredZellinger, bermul, bxl, doctorblink, ellimueller, fritz ostermayer, januszeitstein, robert zikmund, thomasedlinger
