eacwp flash fiction contest 2025 – die gewinner

die gewinnerin des 8. eacwp  (european association of creative writing programmes) flash fiction (kürzestprosa) wettbewerbs steht fest:

when they asked if there was a doctor on the plane, i should never have volunteered. first of all, i become extremely clumsy in crisis situations. secondly, i am not a doctor, but a dog daycare manager. i don’t know what made me shout “i am!” loud and clear for the whole plane to hear. a tv-induced impulse? the canned bloody mary and all the beers i had gulped down since takeoff? a desire to impress the woman in 19c? anyway, i got up and followed – with my head held high – after the cabin crew, straight into first class where the heart attack was going on.

die punkte wurden nach dem system des eurovision songcontests vergeben, nächstgereiht sind:

2. platz: "juoponnappi" (engl.: "drunk button") auf finnisch von valentin vänskä
3. platz: "distúrbio metabólico (engl.: "metabolic disorder") auf portugiesisch von nuno gonçalves
4. platz: "floración" (engl.: "flowering") auf spanisch von asier susaeta
5. platz: "balle perdue" (engl.: "stray bullet") auf französisch von asier susaeta

wir gratulieren der gewinnerin und den finalist*innen ganz herzlich!

die jury für die endauswahl (zusätzlich zum öffentlichen online-voting) bestand aus vertreterInnen der teilnehmenden 12 eacwp-institutionen. seitens der sfd war wieder poet peter waugh (gbr/aut) mitglied der jury.
